Dekipon

An iPhone and iPad routine timer and reward app that helps children around age four finish their morning routine on their own. It makes time visible so kids can pick what to do next by themselves. No ads, no in-app purchases, and no account required.

Feature highlights

  • Tasks are shown as large picture cards, so children can choose and start on their own even before they can read
  • 16 cards are available out of the box (getting dressed, meals, bath, tidying up, and more)
  • Everything is written in hiragana, and no negative wording is used
  • Time-timer style countdown where a filled circle shows how much time is left (count up / count down, 1–60 minutes)
  • Only one place to press: the large circle in the center doubles as the "done" button
  • When time runs out it switches to elapsed time instead of showing a negative value
  • Personal bests are celebrated with a star badge — no comparison with others, rankings, gacha, or penalties
  • One point per completed task, with five presents delivered in order — a reward design that has a clear ending
  • A "stamp book" lets children look back at the days and stamps they earned
  • Parent dashboard with streaks, monthly summaries, a calendar, and a daily review
  • Behind the parent gate: undo a record, configure presents, and adjust sound effects and the timer
  • Export records as CSV, or delete all on-device data at once
  • No ads, no in-app purchases, and no sign-up. Records stay on the device
  • Runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS / iPadOS 16.0 or later (Japanese only)

Dekipon

Dekipon is an iPhone and iPad app that helps children around age four finish their daily routine on their own. Turn an iPhone or iPad into a "get-ready station": a timer that makes time visible, plus rewards for beating your own best, so children can get through the morning routine without being told to hurry up.

There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no sign-up — records stay on the device.

Four mechanics kids can run by themselves

01 Choose it yourself

  • Tasks appear as large picture cards, so children can choose and start even before they can read
  • 16 cards are ready from the start (getting dressed, meals, bath, tidying up, and more)
  • Everything is written in hiragana, and negative wording is never used
  • Finished cards become that day's stamps

02 A timer you can see

  • A time-timer style circle fills up (or empties), so "how much longer" is obvious at any age
  • There is only one place to press: the big circle in the middle is also the "done" button
  • Parents choose between counting up and counting down (1–60 minutes, in one-minute steps)
  • When the time is up it switches to elapsed time rather than showing a negative number

03 Compete with yourself

  • The comparison is not with other children, but with yesterday's self
  • Beating a personal best is celebrated in a big way, with a star badge
  • No comparison with others, rankings, gacha, or penalties
  • Finishing "without timing it" is recorded just the same

04 Keep going, and a present arrives

  • Every completed task is worth one point
  • As points add up, five presents arrive in order: sun → rainbow → star → moon → sky
  • The reward design has an ending: once everything is collected, it closes with "you got them all"
  • The stamp book lets children look back at the days and stamps they earned

For parents

Children never see scores or comparisons. Progress records live behind the parent gate.

  • Streaks and monthly summaries: days completed and tasks completed by month, with calendar dots that make habits visible
  • Daily review: completed tasks, time taken, whether a task was interrupted, and personal-best updates
  • Undo a record: parents can remove a record tapped by mistake (history is append-only)
  • Present settings: choose the point thresholds and the kinds of rewards
  • Sound and timer settings: toggle button sound effects, and pick the counting direction and duration
  • CSV export and delete-all: export records or wipe all on-device data — both require a parent action

Requirements

  • iPhone or iPad with iOS / iPadOS 16.0 or later
  • Available in Japanese only
  • Designed for an iPad mini or similar device to sit where the morning happens, such as the bathroom or living room
